Partick Beat have performed every year in Glasgow's West End Festival Carnival since 1998. Its has always been the highlight of our year.The festival is a great opportunity to bring local people and the various artistic groups using the community centre out into the street, together in a joint effort to celebrate life, community and of course, the mid summer night.

This year is expected to be a very exciting carnival with the events organisers providing something for everyone in the way of entertainment. <<more info >>

We have been very fortunate in raising funds, with local businesses and the housing association donating toward the cost of costumes for the local children, and adult user groups from the Annexe HLC.who for many of them, this will be the first time they have ever taken part in a street parade. Right now there is a buzz in Partick especially from the kids who have something special planed for the day....watch this space for updates.

The main funders for this event this year, are The West End Festival Carnival Commity (Glasgow City Council) who have been forthwith and most encouraging in providing funds toward sessional artists, materials and workspace in the weeks leading up to the event.
